1.2\u00a0 This Policy applies to all pages of pic-wave.com and any subdomains operated by Company name (“Picwave”, “we”, “us”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the broader processing of your personal data. 1.3  We comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in Estonia) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These laws require us to obtain your prior consent before placing any non-essential cookies on your device. This Policy explains how we do that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. What Cookies & Similar Technologies Are<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.1  A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) by a website when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to remember information about your visit \u2014 for example, your language preference, login status, or items in your cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.2  Cookies can be ‘session’ cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or ‘persistent’ cookies (remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). They can be set directly by the website you visit (‘first-party’ cookies) or by third parties whose services are embedded in the website (‘third-party’ cookies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.3  Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, local storage objects, and other tracking mechanisms. These technologies work in a similar way to cookies and are subject to the same requirements under this Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Lawful Basis & Consent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.1  Under Estonian law implementing the EU ePrivacy Directive, we must obtain your prior, informed, freely given, specific, and unambiguous consent before placing any non-essential cookie on your device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.2  When you first visit the Picwave website, you are presented with a cookie consent banner that explains the categories of cookies we use and allows you to accept all, reject all, or customise your preferences by category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.3  Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent because they are exempt under the ePrivacy Directive \u2014 they are technically required for the website to operate and do not involve processing personal data for any purpose beyond enabling the functionality you have requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.4  For all other cookie categories, your consent is obtained before the cookie is set. Your consent is recorded (as a first-party strictly necessary cookie itself) so that we can honour your preferences on subsequent visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.5  You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time by: (a) accessing the cookie preference centre on the website; (b) adjusting your browser settings to refuse cookies; or (c) using a browser extension designed to manage cookie consent.     7. Third-Party Cookies & Embedded Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.1  Some cookies on the Picwave website are set by third parties whose services are embedded in our platform \u2014 most notably Google Analytics for website measurement. These providers set cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies and may collect data across multiple websites and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.2  Third-party analytics cookies (such as those set by Google Analytics) are only placed if you have given your consent to analytics cookies through our cookie consent banner. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https:\/\/tools.google.com\/dlpage\/gaoptout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.3  Marketing or advertising cookies from third-party networks (such as Meta or Google Ads pixels) are only placed if: (a) an advertising campaign is active; and (b) you have given your consent to marketing cookies. Where no campaign is active, no marketing cookies are set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.4  TranslatePress (used for the Turkish-language version of the site) may set a first-party functional cookie to store your language preference. This is classified as a functional cookie and requires consent unless it is the mechanism by which you have selected the language yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    8. Managing Preferences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    8.1  You have full control over which non-essential cookies are placed on your device. You can manage your preferences in the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Cookie consent banner: when you first visit the website, the consent banner allows you to accept all, reject non-essential, or customise by category. You can re-access this at any time through the cookie settings link in the website footer or Privacy Policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menu (usually under Privacy or Security). Note that blocking all cookies may affect website functionality, including your ability to stay logged in or complete checkout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Browser extensions: tools such as uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or similar extensions allow granular control over cookies and trackers across all websites you visit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      8.2  Withdrawing consent or blocking cookies does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal and does not prevent you from using the core features of the Service that rely on strictly necessary cookies only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9. Retention & Review<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9.1  The retention periods for individual cookies are set out in the Cookie Inventory table in Section 6. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted by your browser after the stated duration, or earlier if you clear cookies manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      9.2  We review and update the Cookie Inventory at least every six months, and whenever we make changes to the cookies or tracking technologies used on the website. The Operational Maintenance Checklist below governs this process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10. Do-Not-Track & Browser Signals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10.1  Some browsers have a ‘Do Not Track’ (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally agreed standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and Picwave does not currently respond to DNT signals differently from other user sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      10.2  Where applicable law (such as certain US state privacy laws, e.g. the California Consumer Privacy Act and its 2020 amendment, or the Colorado Privacy Act) requires websites to honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing of personal data, Picwave will respond to such signals as required. Picwave does not sell personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      11. Children & Age<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      11.1  The Picwave website and its cookies are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly set tracking or marketing cookies in relation to minors. Our cookie consent mechanism is designed for adult users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      11.2  If a parent or guardian believes that a minor has browsed the Service and tracking cookies have been set, they should contact us at info@pic-wave.com and we will take appropriate action, including clearing consent records associated with that session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      12. International Data Flows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      12.1  Some of the third-party cookies described in this Policy (in particular, Google Analytics) may result in personal data being transferred to, and processed in, countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, as described in our Privacy Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      12.2  By consenting to analytics or marketing cookies, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred internationally as described in this Section and in our Privacy Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      13.1  We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our use of cookies changes, or as a result of changes in applicable law. The date of the most recent update is shown in the document header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      13.2  Material changes to how we use cookies \u2014 in particular, the introduction of new cookie categories or significant new third-party tools \u2014 will be notified to you through the cookie consent banner, which will re-appear to obtain updated consent where required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
